Our Theme for 2012:
Galatians 6: 9-10 "So let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up. So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us work for the good of all, and especially for those of the family of faith."
Registration will open in January
In 2011, we expanded our summer programming to include mission work. We are continuing with this work in 2012. Groups will meet and work with people in need within the surrounding communities during their time at Lake Junaluska. Our theme this summer of Galatians 6:9-10 will help youth explore how serving others impacts their relationships with others. Through our amazing group of summer staff, relevant speakers and dynamic worship, youth will learn how to live out their faith.
*Mission Blitz means groups will be volunteering at work sites every day. During non-blitz sessions, groups will only work one day. Mission work will vary from construction work to volunteering with the homeless as well children’s homes. Work sites will be assigned based upon the information churches provide about the group's skills and interests, and upon work availability when the group registers.
NOTE about Packages (price per person):
2012 pricing: $250 for Weekends & $325 for Weeks
The package pricing includes the following:
Weekends: The weekend package pricing includes housing, 8 meals, and programming. Housing options include the Junaluska Apartments, Lakeside Lodge, Mountainview Lodge, and Sunnyside Lodge only. The 8 meals included will be served in Jones Cafeteria beginning with dinner on Thursday and ending with breakfast on Sunday.
Weeks: The week package pricing includes housing, 11 meals, and programming. Housing options are the same as listed above. The 11 meals included will be served in Jones Cafeteria beginning with dinner on Sunday and ending with breakfast on Thursday.
