Celia Whitler is a singer-songwriter who makes music in a wide variety of venues both sacred and secular. Celia communicates with a powerful and unique voice as she tells stories and sings songs with an intimacy that captures the listening community. As a performer, music and worship leader, Celia has sung more than a thousand concerts and events for groups numbering from 5 to 25,000, covering 44 states and Europe. She has provided leadership at the national level for: the United Methodist Church; the Lutheran Church, ELCA; Christian Church, Disciples of Christ; Acteens, Southern Baptist Girls; the American Baptist Church and Group Publishing; and an ecumenical gathering of denominational youth leaders.
As an author, Celia’s books have offered inspiration to all those who read them. "On the Way to Somewhere" was published by Abingdon Press in April 2006. In February 2009 she released two more books, "One Wish for You: Celebrating the Women in Our Lives" & "New Beginnings: Words and Music for Graduates"
