Ministries with Young People (MYP) is committed to providing events, consultation and resources that facilitate Christian spiritual formation and leadership development for youth, young adults and workers.
Every event, consultation and resource shall be formed with four guiding principles. They shall be:
· Sacramentally based
· Theologically sound
· Culturally relevant
· Practically designed
The two central problems the Division of Young People will seek to address:
1. Significant attrition of youth and young adults across the connection
2. Lack of focused Christian spiritual formation in the lives of youth and young adults across the connection resulting in weak or marginal commitment to The United Methodist Church.
